These Terms & Conditions apply to every part sold by Federal Used Auto Parts, a Federal Global Ventures company, and become binding once payment is made or an invoice is signed. The same terms are printed on your invoice.
These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of used Insurance Quality OEM auto parts by Federal Used Auto Parts, a brand of Federal Global Ventures LLC (“Federal Used Auto Parts”, “we”, “us”), to the buyer named on the accompanying invoice (“Buyer”). By completing payment, signing the invoice, or accepting delivery, Buyer agrees to be bound by these Terms in full.
All parts sold are used Insurance Quality OEM parts, manufactured by the vehicle’s original manufacturer. We do not sell aftermarket or third-party-manufacturer parts. Parts may show cosmetic wear consistent with prior use, and no warranty or guarantee is given as to cosmetic appearance. Buyer is responsible for inspecting all parts on delivery before accepting them. Any stated mileage reflects the information available to us at the time of listing and is given to the best of our knowledge, but is not independently verified or guaranteed.
Where a part is sold against a specific VIN, we warrant that it is the correct fitment for that vehicle under OEM interchange standards. OEM parts may interchange across multiple years, makes and models in line with manufacturer specifications. Every part is matched to the Buyer’s exact year, make and model and confirmed against the VIN before dispatch.
Every part carries a twelve-month warranty as standard, running from the date of delivery and covering manufacturing or functional defects in the core part only. Where a longer period is agreed it is shown against that line on your invoice. The warranty does not extend to attached accessories, sensors, switches, cables, wiring harnesses, hoses, belts or brackets unless these are purchased and warranted separately. The part must be installed within ten days of delivery. A written diagnostic report from a certified automotive facility is required to support any warranty claim, and supporting documentation requested during a claim must be provided within five business days or the claim may be declined. Federal Used Auto Parts is not responsible for labour, installation, towing, shipping or rental costs arising from a claim. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accident, overheating, lack of lubrication, or continued operation of the vehicle after a defect has been identified. Where extended cover is purchased, it activates once we are notified that the part has been installed.
Electrical modules — including ABS, ECM, BCM and TCM units — are matched to the VIN supplied at the time of order and are sold as-is; they are not bench-tested before dispatch. Any reprogramming required at installation is Buyer’s responsibility, and the associated diagnostic, labour and towing costs are not reimbursed. Electrical components that have been altered, tampered with, or improperly programmed are not eligible for return or refund.
Engines are sold as a long block only unless your invoice states otherwise; accessories and secondary components are neither included nor warranted unless purchased separately. Transmissions are inspected for correct shift operation and for gear and bearing condition before sale; correct reassembly at installation — seals, gaskets, fluid and filter replacement — is the installer’s responsibility. Cylinder heads are inspected for cracks and warping before sale; minor valve or seat machining may be required at installation.
All returns require prior written authorisation from Federal Used Auto Parts. Where a part is faulty, was sent in error, or does not fit a vehicle whose VIN we verified, return carriage is at our cost and no restocking fee applies. For a change of mind, whether a restocking fee or return carriage applies is assessed individually and confirmed to Buyer in writing when the return is authorised. Parts must be returned uninstalled, unaltered, and in the condition in which they were shipped; parts that have been disassembled, installed or altered are not eligible for return or refund. Where a core charge applies, it is refunded only if the returned core is free of cracks and holes and is returned within thirty days of delivery. Deposits are non-refundable. We do not reimburse towing or transportation costs associated with a return.
Orders cancelled after processing, and returns made for buyer’s remorse or an ordering error, are assessed on the same individual basis set out above, and any restocking fee or return carriage cost is confirmed in writing before the return is authorised. Where Buyer prefers a replacement part to a refund, we will arrange an exchange; any price difference on the replacement is Buyer’s responsibility.
Typical delivery time is five to seven business days; unforeseen circumstances may extend this. Standard carriage is included at no charge to all fifty states, and the price quoted is the price payable. Oversized or freight-only items may carry a surcharge; where one applies it is disclosed at the time of quote and never added afterwards. For orders above $1,000, Buyer may be asked to provide a copy of the payment card used and valid photo identification before dispatch, as a fraud-prevention measure.
Buyer agrees to contact Federal Used Auto Parts directly to resolve any issue with a part before filing a chargeback with their card issuer. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us will be contested with supporting documentation. Chargebacks or return claims made in bad faith, or on false or fraudulent grounds, may be referred to legal counsel.
Federal Used Auto Parts is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from the use, installation or failure of a used part, including damage to Buyer’s vehicle or any other property. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the purchase price of the part.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from this sale is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.
Federal Used Auto Parts may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase governs that transaction. These Terms were last updated on August 16, 2026.
